First brought to Sri Lanka with the collaboration of the Stages Theatre Group and with the support of the Neelan Tiruchelvam Trust, “Dear Children, Sincerely” is a project that collects the stories and experiences fo the elders of society and takes them to young people in the form of storytelling and live performances. It is a coversation across generations.
DCS was first performed in Sri Lanka in January 2016, and now having been picked up by the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR), who have commissioned the DCS team to create a show that will tour the country in November. According to Tracy Holsinger, one of the directors of the production, there will be drama workshops carried out along with the show in a bid to encourage communication, tolerance and understanding among communities.
