Creative expressions can promote the understanding of rights and peace in addition to providing a base for visual and performing artists to showcase their work. Approximately 25% of our work over the past 15 years has supported arts and culture activities; including street theatre, radio dramas, road painting, gallery exhibitions, peace trains and cultural programmes among youth to promote diversity.
NTT supports both popular as well as emerging art forms, initiatives that seek to revive the use of ancient art forms in the island or cultural expressions that promote participation by marginalized and vulnerable communities.
The Trust will also support programmes that showcase art forms at the highest level and give opportunities to communities at all levels to experience art (whether local or international) at it’s best; collaborations between local and international artists will be fostered through workshops and community projects while also initiating new ones.
